about

Forefront’s work is based on improvised music. “Chaos Magnum” is dedicated to contemporary, aleatoric, concrete, spectral and electroacoustic music, and than to some musicians that changed the course of music, like John Cage, Morton Feldman, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Arnold Schönberg, Iannis Xenakis, Luciano Berio. Considering that originally the word was not in the present form of "disorder" that is found in common word "chaos", the ancient greek word "Chaos" is rendered as "space gaping", "open space", "chasm", where indicates in its etymology, "cleft, gorge", then symbolically "abyss" where are "murkiness, darkness". Chaos, according to some authors, appears in the mythology and cosmology of the ancient Greeks, as the personification of the primordial state of "emptiness", the dark before the birth of the cosmos from which emerged gods and men.
That’s the spirit of the first recording of the quartet!
